+ 11:15am Confirmation Class
Our Youth Group, for 7th-12th graders, provides a safe environment that helps students study and interact with scripture, seek God in their lives, build meaningful relationships with students their age, and develop into devoted followers of Jesus. Our youth are welcoming of one another allowing everyone to feel comfortable, encouraged, and loved!
Youth Fellowship
HUMC youth is part of Faith Youth Collective of Hinsdale joining with Redeemer Lutheran, Grace Episcopal, and Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills. FYC has visited The Forge in Lemont, Lombard Roller Rink, Hinsdale Christmas Walk, and hosts each other for games, food, and conversation. Fun, yes! Students learn that Jesus Christ is found in community… the whole community of committed open hearts and minds and in relationship with others.
Confirmation
Using the Colaborate curriculum, students explore Old Testament and New Testament scripture, Wesleyan and Methodist traditions, and are encouraged look at faith by asking questions of themselves, God, and other people. Students meet weekly, engage in community outreach, share in ministries of the church, and practice serving God through prayers, attendance, gifts, and service. Confirmation gives students tools to further their faith in God and the World. Many students find a conviction to continue those relationships as members of the local church. Email the Church Office for more or to register.

Summer camp at Wesley Woods with friends from Downers Grove FUMC. Youth serve as counselors for younger campers as well as share in camp fun. Bible studies, archery, water activities, campfires, and paddling in Lake Geneva. This is a great way to learn to love God and be in relationship with neighbors.
