  • all church conference

The Annual Church Conference for HUMC is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. Our District Superintendent, Rev. Jeffry Bross, will join our congregation to review the highlights of 2019 and share insights on the larger UMC ministry. Included in the discussion will be reports from the various key committees and goals for 2020. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

  • Family Advent Activity

Join us as we welcome the Advent season decorating gingerbread houses on Sunday, November 24 at 9:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. This is a family event for all. Parents, kids, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and grandkids are all welcome to join in the fun!  Learn more here

  • Thanksgiving Eve Service and Pie Social

On Wednesday, November 27 at 7:00 p.m., please join us for a celebration of our blessings. Following the service, we’ll enjoy our annual Pie Social. Everyone is welcome and no reservations required. You don't want to miss this! If you would like to donate a pie, help with cutting and serving pie, or help with clean up, please sign up in the Narthex. Please contact Polly Lathrop with questions.

  • Decorating for Advent and Christmas

Come help us dress up the beautiful Sanctuary and church grounds on Saturday, November 30 beginning at 9:30 a.m. We need volunteers of all ages, heights, and talents. The “Hanging of the Greens” now involves the “Hanging of the Lights” as well, so we especially need a few people willing to climb ladders or work outdoors. The Christmas spirit surely will fill our hearts as we give a couple of hours to the glory of the Lord. We’d love to have you join in our holiday preparations. Contact Polly Lathrop or Shirley Steward at the church office at 630-325-1280 if you would like to help or have any questions. Thank you on behalf of the Worship Committee!
