HUMC + Olivet UMC School Supplies Collection

NOW COLLECTING THROUGH AUGUST 14TH

This year marks HUMC’s 15th year collecting supplies for our sister church, Olivet UMC, as they continue their mission to reach out and connect to school-age children in their neighborhood.

Blessing of the Backpacks & School Supplies

Mark your calendars for Sunday, August 9th, during morning worship! We will hold a special Blessing of the Backpacks and School Supplies to pray over our students and dedicate all collected gifts before sending them to Olivet UMC.

Donations for School Supply Kits

We are once again purchasing prepackaged school supply kits and adding additional items for a total cost of $12 per supply pack, with a goal of 100 kits. If you would like to contribute, you can make donations online through the button below; by check made out to HUMC with “School Supplies” in the memo line; or cash in an envelope marked “School Supplies.”

Collection of New Backpacks

We are also collecting new backpacks for kids up to fourth grade (backpacks for older children have been generously donated by HCS Family Services). You can leave your backpack donations in the designated collection boxes in the Narthex.
