What do the candles in our Advent wreath mean?
During each Sunday of the Advent season, we focus on one of the four virtues Jesus brings us: Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. The Christ candle is lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day reminding Christians that Jesus is the light of the world. The wreath continually reminds us of whom we are called to be as followers of Jesus.

The Meaning is in the Waiting—An All Church Advent Study
All Adult Sunday School classes will join together Sunday mornings during Advent at 9:30 a.m. for The Meaning is in the Waiting Advent book study. Advent means waiting as in “waiting for the Messiah.” However, it is not just we who wait. God is waiting for us! Isaiah says, “The Lord waits that He may be gracious unto you.” God waits on us, for our attention, for our vision, and our ear. Let us wait together and give God our focus this Advent season as we study God’s holy word. The book The Meaning is in the Waiting by Paula Gooder is available in the church office for $10. Join in the class any week you are able.
