Matthew Loeb is an active performer, director, and music educator in the Chicago area. He has played professionally since the age of 16 for a variety of venues; including service as pianist for the Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra and rehearsal/show pianist for Rising Star Theatreworks. Recently, he performed as an onboard showband musician and headliner accompanist for Carnival Cruise Lines.
In addition to performing on keyboard instruments, Matt has served as music director, arranger, and/or contractor for many live shows. During his contract aboard the Carnival Pride, Matt regularly arranged big band charts and contributed to the score of Carnival Pride’s Las Vegas Style Review Shows.
Currently, he accompanies, arranges and directs for the annual Heart Harmony and Hope Music Event, a musical fundraiser for the benefit of the United Church of Christ.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. His primary teachers include JeongSoo Kim, William Goldenberg, Robert Chappell and Edward Klonoski.
