United Methodist Women
UNITED METHODIST WOMEN - All women at HInsdale United Methodist Church are invited to participate in United Methodist Women. Our church enjoys an active unit of over one hundred women who meet regularly through circle groups on the second Thursday of every month. They support mission efforts locally and worldwide through special events like the fall and spring resale. Fellowship activites like the mother/daughter banquet, Lenten Brunch, and fall retreat help members to fulfill the stated purpose of membership, which is to be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Note: Some new books have arrived in our library from the UMW Reading Program. Stop in and brouse.

Just read one book in each category - Education for Mission, Social Action, Nurturing for Community and Spiritual Growth, and regularly read Response Magazine (of course, you may read as more books if you want). Report to Sharon Wilmore, Secretary of Program Resources, by December 31 the number of books you read in each category for our report to the District. The books, the checkout cards and Response Magazine are located in the library on the second shelf from the bottom on the right wall as you enter the library. They are divided into 2 sections - the 2010 Reading Program Books and Previous Reading List Books. You may read a book from a previous list if you haven't read it before. Next to the books is a box with cards to check out the books. You are sure to find a book that will entertain and help you on your spiritual journey.
