Church Mission

| The church was chartered January 18, 1959 with 104 persons joining...a conference record at the time. Until a building was constructed, worship was conducted in the Hinsdale Community Center. Worship began in a new sanctuary in April, 1963. |

The Mission of the Hinsdale United Methodist Church (HUMC) , responding to God’s call in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, is to be and to become a caring Christian community, sharing together in meaningful worship, providing challenging Christian Education and creative ministries to children, youth and adults, offering opportunities for service and fellowship, and working toward a world of justice, hope and peace.
