Third Thursdays Women’s Fellowship
All women of the church are invited to our Monthly Women’s Fellowship on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. for food, fun, and fellowship! Please contact Kristi Chadwick with questions.
Fireside Readers Book Discussion
The Fireside Readers is an informal book discussion group that welcomes all men and women who enjoy reading and stimulating discussion. Our next meeting will be on Monday, April 23 in the Fireside Room at 6:30 p.m. for dessert and coffee and discussion at 7:00 p.m.
Our book is “Little Fires Everywhere”, by Celeste Ng. In an idyllic suburb, the well ordered life of the Richardson family is disrupted when they rent a house to a mysterious artist and her daughter. When a custody battle in the town pits the two families against each other, long held secrets threaten their relationship. This New York Times bestseller was chosen as “Book of The Year” by many publications. It is available at many public libraries, in hardcover, paperback, Kindle, and Nook. Please contact Mary Ann Darnaby if you have questions.

Priscilla Circle – Named for a missionary. Meets at 1:00 p.m. at the church for dessert and business meeting followed by a program.

Visit United Methodist Women to learn more.
Knit or Knot
The Knit or Knot Ministry meets the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. During a time of fellowship, shawls, pillows, sweaters and blankets are created to comfort those in need and to celebrate life’s joys. Each piece becomes an expression of love – and the loving care of God who works through the crafters. As each piece of work reaches completion, it is passed around the circle and blessed by each crafter’s hands. Pictured are members donating hand-tied pillows for use at Hinsdale’s Wellness House.
Men’s Group Lunch and Discussion
The Men’s Group meets in the Fireside Room the first Friday of each month at 12:00 Noon. Bring a sack lunch and join in the lively conversation and fellowship. Current events, community news, joys and concerns are discussed. New members always welcome!
The mission of Stepping Stones is to support widows and widowers in a Christian social environment. All widows and widowers are welcome. Join us on second Tuesday of each month in Fellowship Hall for our gathering. Please contact El Lober at the church office with questions.
